SriLankan Airlines wishes to inform that according to the travel restrictions imposed by the Government of Sri Lanka (GoSL), passengers holding any visa type are not permitted for inbound travel to Sri Lanka, currently until 31st August, unless they have specific approval from the GoSL.
Kindly ensure that passengers who do not have permission to disembark in CMB do not make reservations on these flights.
Please also note that for any passenger who has obtained special approval to arrive in Sri Lanka during the airport closure period (currently till 31st August), bookings will be handled by UL offices or GSA offices only, as there are special remarks to be entered to avoid them getting cancelled. Any booking without special remarks will be cancelled even if the passenger holds special clearance to arrive in CMB during airport closure.
Only passengers with immediate connections within 12 hours are allowed to transit via Colombo (CMB) – Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
Please ensure that all passengers follow these transit guidelines and they meet the stipulated connecting time when purchasing tickets to points beyond CMB.
